With an annual production capacity of tens of thousands of tons, INSPRO plans to build Asia's largest food-grade insect protein project
INSPRO has signed a contract with the People's Government of Cuiping District, Yibin City, Sichuan Province, intending to utilize INSPRO's industrialized insect bioconversion system to recycle wine lees, a by-product of the nation's famous liquor-producing regions with a capacity of over a million tons per annum, into high-value food-grade insect proteins, organic fertilizers, and biofuels. The cooperative project will be constructed in two phases, with the first phase landing in Area B of the Wuliangye Industrial Park, with construction scheduled to be completed in the first half of 2024. After completing the two-phase project, it can handle thousands of tons of wine lees per day and produce tens of thousands of tons of fresh larvae per year.

This cooperation is not only expected to improve the resource efficiency of low-value by-products of liquor brewing enterprises, but also to help the local traditional brewing industry extend its industrial chain through technology, effectively treat organic waste, and achieve the goal of sustainable development in terms of environment, society and corporate governance (ESG). In addition, the partnership is expected to create more than 100 jobs and hundreds of millions of dollars in production value for the entire region.
Aiming to become the world's largest food-grade insect protein production plant
Based on favorable business development policies, high-quality organic waste resources, and a promising insect protein market, INSPRO has the potential to build the world's largest food-grade insect protein production plant in Cuiping, Yibin.
